This powder is phenomenal. It smooths over, and mattes with a slight shimmer so it does not look dry or dehydrated. It looks like a filter is on when you look on the mirror. No pores in sight. My only complaint: I bought Pecan Pie because I am African American and have a honey complexion.. usually an NC45 or NW45 in MAC. I'm more neutral toned. This colored powder is the lightest of the cocoa shades but is VERY brick red. It seems to have no yellows or blues or rose undertones. I heavily dotted a little on my nose and cheeks to test the color and it looked like a carpet burn or deep bruise. So, I have to apply it lightly with a fan or powder brush and the powder is beautiful. Not my exact match, but beautiful. I use it as a contour but it does not really work for that. To avoid sending it back, I added (shook in) my Covergirl powder in caramel beige and some Ben Nye banana powder into the loose powder container and shook it around to mix and drown out the harsh rust red. I wish there was a lighter option for deep toned-Black women that wasn't either too white light, yellow or too dark. I want to try the white translucent but the cashmere with color is so perfectly pretty.. without any greyed or white caste. All in all mostly happy.
