Spirit Gum Remover
Use Spirit Gum Remover to remove Spirit Gum from the skin. This oil-based remover gently dissolves the adhesive to make removal of appliances, crepe wool, and other makeup attachments easy and pain-free.
We sell this remover in a number of different sizes. Use the 1 mil vial for removing a mustache or similar small piece. The 1/4 oz. size gives enough adhesive remover for a few wax applications or a couple small pieces. This is the most common size used for Halloween costumes. The 1 oz. size provides enough product for practically any project but is still small enough to fit in a makeup case. The large 8 oz. size is perfect for refilling smaller bottles, ideal for the FX artist or cosplayer. Need more? For studios and theaters that have need of large quantities of remover, we also sell it by the gallon.
To use: To remove Spirit Gum, gently massage the area with a cotton ball or swab soaked in remover. Let the it soak into the spirit gum for a minute or so to loosen it. Then gently wipe away any residue left on the skin with additional clean cotton balls soaked in remover. Repeat as needed. Lastly, wash the area with soap and water.
Tip: We recommend having at least twice as much remover on hand as spirit gum. Wipe the mouth of the bottles clean after use. This will help reduce leaking. When traveling, it is helpful to seal oil-containing products, such as spirit gum remover, in plastic bags. Products containing oil can leak or spill easily, and this protects the rest of your kit.
Due to the variance in the display of colors across different monitor types, color swatches may not be an exact match to the actual product. Use for reference only.
